Blocked - Unblocked

I had a little case of writer's block today. This was definitely new to me. Usually I always have something to say.

But my writer's block wasn't really a block, it was a box I couldn't get out of. Well I thought I couldn't. But when I was zoning out during my french test today, I figured out what was blocking me. You. The people who read the things I write. I kept thinking about things that you will enjoy reading, but that isn't what I want it to be about. I didn't start writing because I wanted to please anyone. I started because I enjoyed it.

I'm not really all about pleasing people. But then again, I am the people! ("This is MY life after all." - Casper de Vries.) If I write about something you don't like, don't read! (but read the next post! maybe you'll like it!) I was considering writing about celebrities, but isn't that the pair of shoes everyone has worn out though? No-one can top Perez Hilton. So I'll just try to top Botti! There's still room for improvement.

You should try doing something that pleases you at least once a day. See it as part of a diet. Food for the mental well-being if you will! If you smile everyday you might keep most of the Prozac's away!

I decided to start doing dedications! (like the people in the radio!!)

Today's post is dedicated to Casper de Vries. To those who don't know him, He's a South African comedian that
calls a thing as he sees it and he's a gutsy inspiration.

One can only ask WHY??

Being on the internet as much as I am, I see strange things often. Things that I don't understand. I question the relevance of its existence even. Let's have a look shall we??

A Lipassistant. Is it seriously that hard to apply lipstick
that you have to invest in a stencil for your face that
 resembles a faulty gas-mask?

A Banana Guard. I literally don't know what to say

Take a bath without getting wet. That kind of defeats the purpose doesn't it??

Is this a hipsters attempt at making a convenient pack of tissues look mainstream??

Oh yea! Every elephant will think "hmm I want to poop! I'll just go to my enormous toilet" as opposed to  doing it ANYWHERE..

Hi! Your doctor called to cancel your appointment. Everyone already knows it's cancer!

I'm pretty sure that's a human version of a blowup doll...

So, this doesn't look suspicious. At all. Nope.

Sharing the blame.

A Lip massager.. well this can go wrong.

The worst part? People payed. They payed actual money for buying their ticket  to being alone. Forever. Foreveralooooooooone

Moving.

There are many types of moving in life. Moving out, Moving on, Moving in and moving forward. It's all connected in a strange way. Moving out means you are moving on, and moving in means you are moving forward.

My brother moved out today. I don't know how to feel about it yet. At the moment I feel indifferent. He already promised that he would still drive me around and I know he isn't moving to China. He's just around the corner. But my mom doesn't really see it that way. All she sees is her little boy, who grew up too fast. He's been living here for almost 21 years now, he wants to spread his wings. I'm all for it, but my mother is still holding on. She is a part of the species they call "mother." She is going to worry, it's what mothers do.

When he broke the news that he's moving, she was okay for a second then she started crying. I told her I'd still be here, thinking that would comfort her, but nooooo. She just cried more, I guess that wasn't so comforting. Seeing his empty room made me nostalgic. I thought about every fight we had, every single item I threw him with, every funny mood we had, and every time we annoyed my mom together.

And I realized I have to annoy her twice as much because my partner in crime is gone! It won't be easy, but it's possible! I'm probably also going to worry. I am not a mother yet, but I have those motherly instincts. I don't want to go Adele here, but I wish him nothing but the best. I don't know much, but I do know he'll be okay, even if it takes some time.

'Nootropil'

My day was quite strange, stranger than usual as a matter of fact.

This morning a small man in a big vehicle almost ran me over. That part didn't bother me as much as it should have. The part that annoyed me, was the uncertainty of this small man's next move, do I go left? or right?? Should I even bother? During this time, I was doing a retarded penguin dance, and yes it was that bad. People make life so awkward sometimes.

As the day went on, I was beginning to think I was going to die of nausea. The cause of my constant gag-reflex was because of 3 things:
  • Seeing an article about a 40 year old woman dating a 21 year old man, and the woman's son is 15. Those ages are a little too close for comfort. (that is not okay, at all. Ever)
  • Nootropil - I drink it to help me concentrate during exams. I Google everything, so when I was doing research about this 'Nootropil,' I read one of the side effects could be nausea, vomiting, insomnia, hallucinations and other effects that I might be hallucinating as well.
  • Too much Green Tea. I only discovered Green Tea a few days ago, and today I drank a lot. 6 cups to be exact. I started feeling like a (green) teapot.
No more sleazy magazines then!

Tonight I am sitting here, and slowly realizing that 'Nootropil' does not help with concentration. I'm writing 2 tests tomorrow and the only thing I've been focusing on is the internet. Specifically YouTube. This is bad.

May the teachers have mercy on my brain...

And So it begins

This has been one of the worst days of my year so far. And it's the first day of my blog!

You know sometimes when stuff bothers you, but you don't want to say anything? Because you want to spare some persons feelings, so you shut up and suffer in silence and hope things get better?

Yeah, they don't. Shutting up about it is like screaming through a mic and the sound bounces back and slaps you right in the face, and when it hits, you break. You break down and cry like you're allowed to. School makes crying feel like a.... A "sin!" That's what they call it right? Anything bad is a sin.. Anything good is a sin too - if you're Amish.

But then again, not shutting up, doesn't exactly help. You will make someone cry, tick someone off or even make the priests daughter damn you to "hell." But there comes a time in your life, that you should realize "Holy crap, life actually isn't about pleasing every baffoon that crosses my path"  If you haven't realized it yet, don't worry. It'll hit you like Chris Brown soon.
